Prosud's successful participation in Food Service Fair 2022

The tenth version of the Food Service Fair was held on September 27, 28 and 29. The most important professional food fair in Chile aimed to promote the industry by providing a space for communication and work for companies, investors and entrepreneurs, where we were able to be present once again during each of the days.

The Espacio Riesco Event and Convention Center opened its doors again after two years without being able to hold the Fair due to the Covid-19 pandemic. In this opportunity, we participated with a tremendous stand and equipment, during these 3 days we were able to share with the different actors of the industry and open new business opportunities.

This year, in addition to having nine pavilions for different countries, Ecuador was the guest of honor. As Mirian Esparza, the country's ambassador to Chile, told Radio Bío Bío during its inauguration, the event was "a showcase to the world that allows us to show all the export products" and "the opportunities that Ecuador offers for the Chilean market".

A highlight of this version was the pavilion dedicated exclusively to food innovation, allowing different organizations to present their progress and improvements in this area. There was also a Vegan Congress, a novelty this year, which was aimed at a large number of people who have stopped consuming animal products.

In the words of our General Manager, Pablo Ruiz-Tagle, who was also present:

"For Prosud, Food Service is an opportunity to meet with our customers and suppliers, the brands we represent, in a different environment that gives the setting of a fair. It is also an opportunity to look for new products, national and imported, since all the companies present want to start or increase business in Chile. That is what the fairs are for, to contact companies and people that otherwise would be difficult to do. And this year there was a large number of exhibiting companies and visitors, which surprised us, considering that we are just coming out of the pandemic. I think we all look forward to having the personal contact again that a fair like this gives us."

This new version allowed us to meet again with different actors, taking on new challenges so that Chile's food industry continues to grow. And of course, it will also open new opportunities that will contribute to the growth of our beloved Prosud.
